Federal NCUA Share Insurance Information

Your deposits at 5Point Credit Union are insured for up to $250,000 by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration). IRA deposits are insured for up to a separate $250,000 limit.

The NCUA was created in order to regulate federally insured credit unions and to head up the NCUSIF (National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund). The NCUSIF is fully funded by contributions from member credit unions across the country at no expense to the taxpayer, and it is considered to be one of the strongest of the government-backed insurance funds. The NCUSIF is ultimately backed by the full faith and performance of the U.S. Government.
